Does CBD work ? We believe it does. Our office is one of the leading defenders of the marijuana / hemp / CBD industry. However, it is our obligation to make it clear that the widespread state allowances for medical marijuana, the Hemp legalization in the 2018 Farm Bill and the FDA’s Epidiolex approvals DO NOT MEAN that CBD manufacture or use is federally legal. IT IS NOT !
Even though CBD is legal in California – its PRESCRIPTION by MD’s is still a federal violation. Its recommendation by D.C.’s violates the prohibition on prescribing medications as it is FDA regulated. (There is a never tested exception to the non-prescription rule but you don’t want to the test subject for the defense !)
CBD is a Schedule I drug
CBD if FDA approved in a pharmaceutical is Schedule V
CBD is NOT a food substance or vitamin. It is a drug and a D.C. cannot recommend. It is FDA regulated.
